Support Groups and Psycological intervention - National Pain Foundation.

Doctor Sarah Whitman who operates the "How to Cope With Pain" website was interviewed recently by the American National Pain Foundation about the benefits of Support Groups and Psychological intervention. She explains how chronic pain affects the body and also changes the brain. She says and I totally agree, "Having a peer support group lets people have one other place to talk about not only the disability associated with chronic pain, but also what they've found helpful."

This is an excellent article and well worth the read. For the link to the How to Cope with Pain website please go to CRPS/RSD related articles to the left of this blog. Then click on the "my interview" link under the topic "How support groups can help you cope with pain" on her website.
